Today's Reading Luke 24.36-53

Luke 24 with Commentaries, verse by verse

The two disciples went and told the Eleven that they saw Jesus and how He broke bread with them. Jesus appeared to them and said, 'Peace be with you.' He told them to look at His hands and feet and to touch Him. He then asked if they had anything to eat. He was showing them that He had a resurrected body and was not a ghost. He the said that everything was fulfilled, his death and resurrection. He then told them to preach the repentance and forgiveness of sins (Matthew 28, the Great Commission)

He then ascended into heaven, and they were full with joy and stayed continually at the temple praising God. So it is with our experience when we know the resurrected Lord, we know that He is victorious over death and sin and we have every reason to be joyful about the repentance and forgiveness of sin and having a new resurrected body like Jesus.
