John 2 with Commentaries, verse by verse
This was Jesus' first miracle where he turned water into wine. What a miracle! This miracle was done to avoid a social embararrassment since the famnily was expected to provide a feast as required by the Jewish soceity. Jesus did not make a big deal about it and yet people had noticed that the wine was much better than that served.

Jesus clears the temple (John 2.14-16; Matthew 21.12-13; Mark 11.15-17; Luke 19.45-46) This was the first of the second cleansing ot the temple. Matthew, Mark and Luke had recordred the second cleansing. Jesus was angry at seen what was done in the temple, the cheating and overprice of the animals for sacrifice. Do we get indignant and agry about what we see done in churches or among Christians or do we just ignore them and do not 'rock the boat'. Well, Jesus spoke His mind! Jesus the prophesied about Himself, 'Destroy tis temple and I will raise it again in three days.' He was talking about his death resurrection and not about the physical temple in Jerusalem which was Herod's Temple.
