Today's Reading John 10.24-44

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia links: John 10

John 10.24-44
The Jews demanded that Jesus tell them plainly whether He was the Christ. He said that He did but they did not believe in Him. He gave them compelling evidence from the moracles that He performed but they did not believe in Him because they were not His sheep. His sheep would be saved because they listen to His voice. Then Jesus said something astonishing in verse 30: 'I and the Father are one.' They were ready to stone Him for blasphemy because he claimed to be God, they did not understand the Incarnation that God became man. He then said if they did not believe him, then they must believe in the miracles that He performed.
Many people came to Him in the Jordan area where John had baptized. They were convinced of the testimony of John the Baptist of the Messiah who is Jesus. Let us face the facts, either you recognize His voice and are his sheep or your are not. If you are not, please continue to seek Him and come to Him knowing that you need the good Shepherd in your life.

Figure: Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
